The National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of our college is one of the biggest units in
Raigad District. This Unit was established in the year 983. At present three units of
National Service Scheme are running in the college and 300 students have been
participating in this scheme regularly. The NSS Unit is administered and managed by
three Program Officers (POs).
Through the National Service Scheme from the beginning of the college this Unit
conducts activities such as Tree Plantation, Blood Donation Camp, Disaster
Management Camp, Information Empowerment, Gender Equality, Cleanliness Drive,
National Integration, Healthy India, Environment Conservation, Organ Donation,
Voter Awareness Programs, Digitalization of Banking, etc.
In order to make the students aware about rural life, a seven days residential camp is
conducted every year. 150 students participate in this camp. In this camp, the students
are trained through prayer, drill, fieldwork, enlightenment and entertainment. In this
camp, students are taught personality development, leadership skills development and
team building.
Through the college's National Service Scheme Unit, many students have added to the
reputation of the college by participating in international, national, state level,
university level and district level camps and activities.
